A forum for people with ideas on how to stimulate Jewish Scouting in the Twin Cities. JCOSMN has been working to keep Jewish values in Scouting for the last 13 years. We started with one Pack that grew to a Troop. Now the Pack is needing further assistance with only a few boys chartered. The troop is healthy and doing well. With great anticipation based on some of our directors involvement we started Pack 18 in St. Paul, but have had some starting issues. We need parents interest in getting their boys involved. It takes time and effort, but the rewards for leaders and boys is tremendous. Leadership and good citizenry, self-esteem and reliance is what Scouts teaches many, and believe it or not the Scout Law was built on Jewish Values.
With all we have accomplished, JCOSMN is a strong force to see that our boys and even girls in Venture Scouting, have a solid foundation to transition to adulthood. We offer scholarships and resources. We need community help as well as parents help to make it all work.
